Abstract: In recent years, the development of China's robot industry has made great progress, and the specialty of robot engineering has emerged as the times require. As a professional course connecting the past and the future, the importance of automatic control principle is beyond doubt. However, the course is highly theoretical, has multiple formulas, and is computationally complex, making it difficult to learn. The mind map has the characteristics of image expression, simplification and easy to form a system. This advantage of mind map can effectively solve the problems in teaching of uutomatic control principk course. This article describes how to skillfully apply the mind map in the course of automatic control principle, change the traditional teaching method, fully mobilize students'learning enthusiasm, protect and cultivate students'learning interest, and finally achieve the purpose of high-quality classroom teaching by providing them with“three assistance”before, during and after class.
