Exploration of the Teaching Method of the Course Fundamentals of Material Working Technology Based on the OBE Concept under the Background of Emerging Engineering Education

Abstract: Based on the requirements of our country's emerging engineering education construction and the outcome based education (OBE) education concept, the teaching reform of the course fundamentals of material working technology is explored to resolve the problems existing in the present teaching process. Combines with the course characteristics, contents and industrial needs for fundamentals of material working technology, we design the teaching objectives in line with the OBE education concept and explore the four-in-one teaching mode, which was composited of teaching online and offline, in class and after class, flipped classroom role experience and incentive reminder for process assessment. After a series of explorations, the course teaching quality and the students'learning effect have been significantly improved. The teaching exploration provides a new idea for the teaching reform of materials professional courses in higher engineering colleges.
