Research of Mixed Teaching for Fundamentals of Materials Science Based on MOOC Platform

Abstract: The rise of MOOCs in Chinese universities has broken the wall of traditional tertiary education in China, providing sufficient and high-quality learning resources for college students, and pushing college teachers to actively think and explore new teaching modes. Based on the characteristics of the students majoring in functional materials in Dalian Minzu University, this paper takes fundamentals of materials science as an example. According to the requirements of the syllabus of this course, relying on the online MOOC platform of Chinese University, combined with the torrential class, PPT and traditional blackboard writing, this paper explores the best mode of online and offline mixed teaching to improve the teaching quality.
