The Implementation Report of Public English Teaching in Vocational Colleges Based on the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture

Abstract: As a newly-developing theory on Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture regards the experience and rehearsal of culture as the means and objective of language learning. In order to enhance students’ skills of English application and intercultural communication, the author tries to apply the pedagogy into public English teaching in vocational colleges and takes one unit as an example to study the analysis, the process and the effect of teaching as well as the improvement strategies. The research expands the application range of the pedagogy and serves as a reference to the improvement of English teaching theories in vocational colleges.
