Exploration and Practice of Cultivating Environmental Professionals in Application-Oriented Universities in the New Era

Abstract

Abstract: Traditional environmental majors mainly focused on the end treatment of waste, waste gas and waste residue in talent training. The profound changes in the ecological and environmental protection industry in the new era pointed out the direction for the cultivation of environmental professionals in application-oriented universities. Taking the cultivation of environmental professionals in local application-oriented colleges and universities as an example, this paper expounded the concept and training plan of environmental professionals to meet the needs of the ecological and environmental protection industry in the new era. The practical achievements and experience of talent training in this specialty was introduces from the aspects of determination training objectives, construction of teaching system, curriculum system setting, the construction of the integrated platform of production, education and research, and multi-dimensional education mechanism in this paper. The practical achievements and experience were provided for reference in cultivation of environmental protection talents in application-oriented universities in new era.
