Exploration and Practice of Teaching Reform of Finite Element Method Based on Engineering Case Library

Abstract: The finite element method is a necessary tool for a modern simulation engineer, and the course of finite element method is very important to the training of engineering graduate students' modeling, analysis and prediction ability. Aiming at the problems of low interest in learning, lack of theoretical reserve and difference in scientific research direction, this paper discusses the teaching reform and practice of finite element course based on engineering case library from three aspects: reform of teaching method, perfection of teaching content and optimization of teaching assessment mechanism. Then, graduate students can realize the transformation of "want to learn - understand - use -use flexibly" and improve the practical application ability ultimately.
