Abstract: Taking the course of water environment monitoring and evaluation as an example, the project-based practical teaching was carried out. Guided by the core posts of water environment monitoring workers, the goal was to obtain the qualification certificate of water environment monitoring. Based on the cultivation of high-quality technical talents, the teaching content was reconstructed and integrated by integrating ideological and political elements, vocational training, technical ability and theoretical knowledge, simulating different teaching situations and driving various real environmental tasks, to realize the student-centered project-based teaching method. By improving teaching methods, students' learning initiative, practical ability and ability to comprehensively solve practical problems can be improved, and the contradiction between school teaching content and industrial actual production can be resolved, so as to promote the innovative practice of project-based teaching reform in higher vocational education.
