Exploration of Discipline Competition Guiding the Cultivation of Applied Talents

Abstract: Cultivating and improving college students' innovative ability is not only a new requirement of higher education in the new era, but also a strategic measure to enhance the national independent innovation ability. Actively looking for methods and ways to cultivate students' innovative ability in the process of education is an urgent problem to be solved in current education. Discipline competition is to guide students to find, analyze and solve problems through competition, and improve students' ability to integrate theory with practice and comprehensively use knowledge. It is one of the effective ways for colleges and universities to cultivate innovative and applied talents. Discipline competition can promote colleges and universities to further deepen teaching reform and cultivate more talents in line with social needs.
