Abstract: With the rapid development of big data technology and the sharp increase in data volume, people gradually realize the importance of mining data value for decision-making, however, the shortage of data analysis talents has become a prominent problem restricting the development of the industry. In order to cultivate data analysis talents suitable for market demand in the era of big data, combined with the advantages of information management majors in cultivating students' data analysis ability, and the current situation of data analysis ability of students majoring in information management, this paper discusses the strategies to improve students' data analysis ability of information management majors under the big data environment, so as to improve their data analysis ability on the aspect of data collection, processing, storage, analysis and visualization.
