Exploration and Application of Experimental Teaching in Civil Engineering Specialty under the Background of “Emerging Engineering Education”

Abstract: The improvement of practice teaching quality is of great significance to the cultivation of students' comprehensive ability. Under the background of “emerging engineering education”, in view of the mismatch between the experimental teaching mode of civil engineering specialty and the ability training of contemporary engineering and technical talents, targeting the cultivation of civil engineering students' self-directed learning ability, innovative ability, critical thinking and the ability to solve practical engineering problems, the paper puts forward the reform measures of the whole process assessment, carrying out comprehensive & design experiment and research & exploratory experiment, designing rejoinder session and propositioning in the engineering situation. At the same time, it is recommended to adopt the teaching methods of team-teaching, the integration of online and offline, and the integration of experiment and theory. The experimental teaching mode is applied to the teaching of civil engineering materials experiment, and the teaching effect is obvious.
