Discussion on Improving Application Ability Through Case Teaching——Taking Concrete Structure Design Course as an Example

Abstract: In order to improve the teaching effect of case teaching to enhance application ability of students, this paper takes the case teaching of concrete structure course as an example, and puts forward corresponding teaching strategies on the basis of analyzing the characteristics of the course. Through the specific case and the resolving process, the factors that need to be considered in the case teaching are summarized. The self-made teaching cases which are consistent with the actual situation of the project is used for classroom teaching. Meanwhile, various interactive ways such as question and answer, discussion and so on are adopted in teaching. This practice has a good guiding role and enlightening significance for students in the aspect of improving their application ability and mastering the course.
