Abstract: Biomedical engineering has a wide range of content and "fragmented" knowledge system. Students of biomedical engineering are generally lack of systematic cognition of the major. Therefore, the construction of corresponding courses is an urgent problem to be solved in the cultivation of biomedical engineering talents. Relying on the rich medical resources of Nanjing Medical University, the teaching team carried out the “Biomedical Engineering Innovation Design” course following the development idea of “integration of medicine and industry, close to the clinic, and focus on innovation”. The curriculum combines cutting-edge hotspots, open projects raise challenges, and seamlessly link curriculum ideology. Since the beginning of the course, students’ interest in learning has increased significantly, and they have performed well in subject competitions. And the projects incubated in this course are deeply integrated of medicine and engineering.
