Abstract: In a modern society where information technology and mobile Internet are widely used, social media has become an important part of people's daily life and learning. College students are the main group of social media applications, and the influence of social media applications on the learning effects of college students has increasingly become an important issue in the field of higher education research. This article combines the teaching application value of social media, analyzes the motivation of college students to use social media, and explores the positive influence of social media application on college students’ learning engagement, learning experience satisfaction, and academic performance. This research puts forward a teaching model of "teaching-learning interactive cooperation" based on social media applications in colleges and universities.
