Abstract: Before the Ministry of education revised and promulgated the "Regulations on the management of students in ordinary colleges and universities", at the beginning of the new semester in 2002, 244 students in Fudan University re selected their majors, opening a new chapter in the transfer of majors in Chinese colleges and universities. After that, many domestic colleges and universities have opened up the transfer of undergraduate majors to a certain extent, and formulated relevant transfer policies, so that students have one more way to choose their own majors. At present, the main reasons for undergraduates to change their majors are the low interest in their majors and the poor employment prospects of their majors. After analysis, the blindness of the college entrance examination voluntary filling, the college entrance examination admission mechanism leading to admission major is not ideal major, the construction of college major is not reasonable, and students cannot adapt to university life quickly after admission are the fundamental reasons for triggering students to change majors.
