Cultivation of Innovative Ability of Engineering Applied Talents and Practice of Teaching Reform in Local Normal Colleges

Abstract: Under the background of new engineering majors, the innovative ability training model is an effective way to give play to students' subjective initiative and strengthen practical teaching links for high-skilled applied undergraduate professionals. Taking the improvement of the quality of graduation design for engineering majors in normal colleges as a breakthrough point, a comprehensive teaching reform to improve the training quality of practical teaching links in engineering majors is carried out, the purpose of this article is to improve and exercise the teaching and research skills of engineering teachers, and to improve the ability to guide students in practical teaching, so as to improve the comprehensive abilities of engineering graduates in all aspects, such as scientific research ability, reading ability, and practical ability, and combining with the development direction of the mechanical and electrical engineering major of Lingnan Normal University, a new model for training high-skilled applied professional talents suitable for engineering majors of local normal colleges has been explored.
