Abstract: As the top of national education system and the top of academic education, Education of graduate shoulders the responsibility of cultivating high-level talents for the country, and is an important pillar of the national talent competition and scientific and technological competition. At present, with the increasing number of graduate student enrollment, people pay more and more attention to the quality of graduate education. The current situation of graduate education in colleges and universities, such as the single mode of training, poor combination of theory and practice, and the imbalance of resources, has led to the problems of low quality of graduate education and difficult employment. Combined with the actual training of graduate students in the material science major in the university where the author works, this paper explores the problems in the training process of graduate students in this major and analyzes the countermeasures.
