Abstract: As an important core curriculum of mechanical subject, mechatronics system design has the characteristics of high comprehensiveness and strong applicability. In order to improve the ability of knowledge integration and application for students, it is necessary to adopt case and heuristic teaching methods. However, the additional cases of mechatronics system in the existing teaching materials are mostly XY platform and automobile electronic control system, etc. These cases generally have some shortcomings, such as long time, few professional knowledge points, too few control contents and outdated contents. It is difficult for students to have a comprehensive and systematic understanding of the system design and modularization ideas in the development process of mechatronics products. In order to help students establishing engineering consciousness and improving the ability of analyzing and solving problems on sophisticated engineering, a mechatronic system based on the lower limb rehabilitation robot is designed, which is used in the case teaching of this subject. By solving the learning difficulties, it is convenient for repeated learning and comparative memory, and making the teaching content more attractive.
