Abstract: The future of a country depends on education, and the foundation of education lies in teachers. With the continuous deepening of national vocational education reform, the requirements of vocational education personnel training on Teachers' teaching ability are constantly improved. In recent years, vocational colleges began to hold teaching ability competition. Based on the experience of guiding the competition, the author analyzed the basic situation of teaching ability competition, focused on the influence of teaching ability competition on the improvement of teachers' teaching ability, and finally reflected on the relationship between teaching ability competition and teacher construction.
