Abstract: The construction of university’s laboratories is the key factor for measuring the conditions of running the university. It provides the physical support for improving teachers’ teaching level, students’ practical capabilities, and scientific researches and the nature of it determines the development momentum and direction of the vocational and technical university. This thesis, taking the department of applied fForeign languages of guangdong business and Technology University as an example, explores the effective ways for establishing an innovative, open, simulative, sustainable, intelligent laboratory of integration of theory and practice, points out the potential problems that may arise in the design and construction of the laboratory and proposes some concrete solutions to them.
