Abstract: The number of college graduates in China reached 8.74 million in 2020. Affected by the global economic slowdown and China's economic downturn, the employment situation of college graduates is extremely severe. Since the development of China's higher education, both in terms of its scale and quality has made considerable progress, there are more than 1200 undergraduate colleges nationwide, so the study of local colleges and universities is a key to grasp and solve the development rules and problems of China's higher education. Taking the local colleges and universities as the object of study and the employment status of college graduates as the model, we can find out the existing problems and put forward solutions, which is helpful to further explore the effective ways to promote the employment of local college graduates and promote the development and reform of local colleges and universities.
