Abstract: To explore the application value of integrating AI technology with blended teaching methods in the context of a basic nursing technology course, this study was conducted with 144 students from four natural classes of the nursing program in the 2025 cohort. Two of these classes (73 students) were designated as the experimental group and adopted an AI technology enhanced blended teaching model, while the other two classes (71 students) served as the control group and continued with traditional classroom teaching methods. The study analyzed the practical effects of this teaching model by comparing the students'scores in terms of theoretical knowledge, operational skills, critical thinking development, and autonomous learning abilities. The results showed that the experimental group's theoretical examination scores (84.78±6.872), operational skill ratings (86.75±6.422) were significantly higher than those of the control group (75.77±8.644, 78.37±7.241). Additionally, the experimental group's scores on the critical thinking scale (280.14±58.982) and autonomous learning scale (81.64±21.583) were also superior to those of the control group (217.44±39.826, 67.56±12.345). These differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The study demonstrates that AI technology enhanced blended teaching is effective in adapting to the characteristics of a basic nursing technology course, enhancing students'acquisition of knowledge and skills while fostering the development of their core professional competencies. This approach offers a replicable model for the intelligent reform of nursing education.
