Abstract: At present, creative art courses in colleges and universities are committed to the integration of practice and innovation to enhance students'professional ability. Implementing the teaching reform of“promoting learning through competition” is the key path to achieving this goal. This paper first combs the theoretical basis of the teaching reform of“competition driven learning”in the creative arts curriculum in colleges and universities, and then proposes five teaching reform strategies, namely, reconstructing the curriculum content driven by competition, building a multi-level competition platform, teacher-student interaction, applying a process evaluation system, and integrating intangible cultural heritage rich teaching materials. On this basis, this paper further discusses the construction of the support system for the teaching reform of the creative art course“promoting learning through competition”in colleges and universities, hoping to improve students'creative expression and practical ability, optimize the allocation of teaching resources and the collaborative education mechanism, provide a practical scheme for the training of creative art talents in colleges and universities, and promote the improvement of teaching quality and talent training quality.
