Digital Empowerment of Blended Teaching Reform for the Fundamentals of Physical Chemistry Courses

Abstract: Centered on the course fundamentals of physical chemistry and underpinned by a digitally-driven blended-learning framework coupled with industry-university collaborative education, we have built a blended-learning system featuring a“three-phase closed loop, dual-platform support, and four-module integration”. Online, instructor-produced teaching videos serve as the core resource, while offline sessions incorporate virtual-simulation experiments. The process runs through“pre-class autonomous preview, in-class interactive elaboration, and post-class extension & consolidation”, interweaving multidisciplinary elements and implementing a“two-dimension & two-oriented”formative assessment. This design tackles the traditional challenges of abstract-theory incomprehensibility, weak practical components, and the misalignment between teaching and industry needs. Practice shows that the model markedly boosts students’interest and their ability to apply knowledge, offering a practical pathway for the digital transformation of the fundamentals of physical chemistry course and aligning with the core direction of“leveraging digitization to enhance teaching quality and integrating industry-education collaboration to connect educational goals”.
