Innovative Teaching of Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics Based on Modern Information Technology—Case Study of Guilin University of Electronic Technology

Abstract: This study explores the innovative“online + offline”blended teaching model for the probability theory and mathematical statistics course, based on the student-centered teaching philosophy and the goal of nurturing well-rounded talents with integrated character, knowledge, and skills. It begins by analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the traditional teaching model, highlighting issues within the existing system to justify the need for reform. Then, it examines course objectives and student needs, followed by innovations in teaching philosophy, content, methods, and assessment. Finally, the study discusses the outcomes of the reform and its potential for wider application.
