Research and Practice on English Micro Course Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges under the Background of New Quality Productivity

Abstract: The relationship between new quality productivity and education presents a deep integration and coupling symbiosis. Micro courses bring diverse learning experiences to teachers and students, which helps to improve learning efficiency and cultivate innovative abilities to meet the development needs of new quality productivity. This article starts with the first prize work“How to Make a SMART Travel Plan?”in the provincial competition of the China Foreign Language Micro Course Competition, and explores the design and practice of English micro course teaching in vocational colleges under the background of new quality productivity. The teaching effectiveness is evaluated through methods such as questionnaire surveys. The research results indicate that micro courses are of great help in improving students'classroom participation, stimulating learning interest, enhancing learning effectiveness, strengthening self-learning ability, assisting teachers in updating teaching concepts, and improving the level of information-based teaching.
