Exploration and Practice of Micro-Specialty Construction in Application-Oriented Universities under the Integration of Industry and Education

Abstract: Integration of industry and education is one of the significant pathways for the development of applied undergraduate universities. The micro-specialty, as a new type of platform, is dedicated to serving regional economic development. Its core purpose is to reconstruct the curriculum system with a focus on fostering students’professional abilities in line with industry development and job requirements. Moreover, the micro-specialty aims to deepen the integration of disciplines with industries, thereby enhancing students’employability. By studying the construction of the “data processing”micro-specialty under the integration of industry and education, this paper proposes the design of the micro-specialty’s training objectives, curriculum system, and quality assessment system, providing viable path options and practical experiences for the construction of micro-specialty in applied undergraduate universities.
