Research on the Cultivation of Top Talents in Resource and Environmental Specialties of Local Universities under the Background of“ Integration of Specialty and Innovation”

Abstract: Cultivating high-quality applied talents with innovative and entrepreneurial awareness and abilities is an important issue facing higher education in the field of resources and environment in China. This study begins with an analysis of the concepts and current status of innovation and entrepreneurship education as well as professional education, and identifies typical issues in the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in resource and environmental fields. We then explore the effective integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education with professional education, and establish a comprehensive system, mechanism, and model for cultivating resource and environmental professionals. This endeavor holds significant practical value and importance in fostering talents in resource and environment field, thereby serving the economic development of the region.
