Research on Promoting the Cultivation of Graduate Students’Innovation Ability through Subject Competitions

Abstract: With the rapid development of the knowledge economy, innovation capability has become a key indicator for measuring a country’s competitiveness. As an important stage of cultivating high-level talents, the cultivation of innovative abilities in graduate education is particularly urgent. Subject competitions, as an important carrier for cultivating innovative thinking and scientific research abilities of graduate students, have been taken as the leading role by various universities to play their unique advantages. This plays an extremely important role in improving the comprehensive quality of graduate students and their future career choices. This article aims to explore the role and path selection of subject competitions in cultivating graduate students'innovation ability. The article analyzes the problems faced by graduate students in participating in subject competitions, emphasizes the role of universities and enterprises in promoting subject competitions, and puts forward suggestions for cultivating graduate students’innovation ability from the aspects of institutional guarantee, environmental creation, and school enterprise cooperation.
