Abstract: Strengthening career counseling for college students is a powerful measure to enhance the educational power of universities. This is of great significance for better realizing the individual and social value of higher education. However, there are still issues to be addressed, such as the need to strengthen the concept of career counseling in schools, awaken students'awareness of career counseling, improve the quality of career counseling for teachers, and integrate social career counseling resources. It limits the effectiveness of career counseling for college students, which is not conducive to better promoting the improvement of university education and realizing the value of higher education. From the perspective of realizing educational value, it is an inevitable action choice for universities to improve the effectiveness of career counseling for college students and enhance the educational power of universities from four aspects: updating concepts, reconstructing cognition, cultivating qualities, and integrating resources.
