Abstract: Converged media technology brings both opportunities and challenges to local open universities. The research finds that the convergence of media can enhance the school's reputation, improve the quality of non-academic education, optimize the allocation of educational resources, and enhance teachers'innovation ability. However, at present, there exist problems such as the solidification of the management model, insufficient brand radiation, and the lack in digital literacy of adult students. To this end, four paths are proposed: innovating the management model and clarifying strategic positioning, and strengthening the “three-dimensional integration” brand building, establish a collaborative mechanism for enhancing digital literacy and optimizing educational models, stimulate teachers'innovative momentum and standardize the construction standards of educational resources. Research shows that local open universities should seize the opportunity, enhance the efficiency of digital transformation through systematic reform, and provide support for the construction of a lifelong learning society.
