Thoughts on the Quality Monitoring of Teaching in Private Universities

Abstract: The teaching quality assurance system of universities consists of five core elements, including quality objectives, quality standards, quality elements, quality monitoring, and quality improvement. Among them, quality monitoring plays a crucial role and is an important component of the assurance system. Due to the relatively weak conditions and strength of private universities, the construction and operation of their teaching quality monitoring system have always been of great concern. This article compares the main connotations of teaching quality monitoring in higher education institutions, reveals the shortcomings of teaching quality monitoring in private universities, explores the reasons for their occurrence, and proposes corresponding measures to strengthen teaching quality monitoring work.
