Abstract: This article explores the significance of the “creative type” teaching method in cartoon public elective courses from the perspective of educational reform in universities. This article combines the characteristics of cartoon public selection course to demonstrate the applicability of the “creative type” teaching method in this course, and provides a detailed introduction to the basic tools and techniques of cartoon, consolidating its feasibility from a practical perspective. The research results provide valuable references for the construction of public elective courses in universities in the new era and their integration into the comprehensive education system, which helps to promote the development of education and teaching reform in public elective courses in universities and provides strong support for the construction of related courses.
