Abstract: In the context of the construction of new engineering disciplines, the problem of insufficient adaptability of traditional university physics teaching majors is becoming increasingly prominent. This article proposes a reform of the organizational form of teaching and research groups based on major categories, focusing on the reform of teaching materials and teaching modes that integrate majors. By forming interdisciplinary teaching teams, on the one hand, a new version of the textbook “physics science knowledge points+professional engineering application questions” will be developed, closely integrating basic physics knowledge with engineering applications. On the other hand, a teaching mode combining “fixed teaching content+variable professional expansion” will be adopted, and corresponding chapters of professional expansion content will be learned according to professional needs. This type of teaching reform has the characteristic of strong promotion, which can improve the relevance of course content and enhance students' knowledge transfer ability under the existing faculty and teaching conditions in various colleges and universities.
