Abstract: With the deepening of the construction of new liberal arts, the digital wave, and the integration of culture and tourism, digital cultural and tourism talents have become a new direction for the training of tourism management professionals in universities. Therefore, how to respond to the demand for professional talents in the cultural and tourism industry in the new era and cultivate high-quality digital cultural and tourism talents has become an important topic that urgently needs to be complited. This article examines the necessity of cultivating digital cultural and tourism talents in universities from the perspective of the new liberal arts, analyzes the current situation and problems of digital cultural and tourism talent cultivation in universities, and proposes a digital cultural and tourism talent cultivation model from the perspective of the new liberal arts. It aims to help cultivate high-quality digital cultural and tourism talents who understand the tourism industry, master tourism knowledge and skills, and spread tourism culture, in order to meet the talent needs of the cultural and tourism industry in the new era.
