Abstract: Under the guidance of the new engineering education concept, the curriculum reform serves as the core of the teaching reform in applied undergraduate institutions. This paper initially delves into the current state of the curriculum group reform for mechanical majors within the context of new engineering, pinpointing the existing issues. Subsequently, it puts forward targeted reform strategies. Through the implementation of these reform measures, the objective is to establish a curriculum group grounded in integrated projects, thereby enhancing students'practical capabilities, elevating the quality of teaching, improving the coherence of knowledge application, and boosting the interactivity and appeal of the classroom. The findings of this research hold certain reference significance for propelling the reform and development of mechanical major education in applied undergraduate institutions.
