Construction of AI-Empowered Smart Teaching System for English Writing from the Perspective of New Liberal Arts

Abstract: Driven by the dual forces of the new liberal arts development and intelligent education, this paper focuses on issues such as the lack of writing interest, limited writing ability, inadequate humanistic literacy, and difficulties in enhancing learning autonomy among English majors. Adhering to the principle of cultivate virtues and morality, student-centeredness and outcome-based education, this study systematically reconstructs the teaching system of English writing from the perspective of cross-cultural communication in four aspects: teaching philosophy, teaching content, teaching model, and teaching evaluation mechanism, thereby establishing the“Best Echo: iSmart”intelligent English writing teaching system with AI-empowerment. This system aims to consolidate students’English writing skills, stimulate higher-order thinking, enhance autonomous learning capabilities, and promote a comprehensive improvement in humanistic literacy. It lays a solid foundation for the formation of a positive teacher-student learning community in the process of recognizing the individual self and pursuing a greater collective purpose.
