Exploration of the Reform and Innovation Path of Ethnic and Folk Dance Courses in Dance Majors of Colleges and Universities

Abstract: With the changes in social culture and the diversification of educational needs, the importance of ethnic and folk dance courses in dance majors in universities is increasingly prominent. This article analyzes the shortcomings of current ethnic and folk dance courses in teaching content, teaching methods, and talent cultivation, and proposes directions and strategies for curriculum reform; Combining cultural resources with the practical needs of dance education, innovative paths have been proposed, such as adopting diversified teaching models, the combination of practical teaching and theory, and the development of digital resources, to enhance the diversity and practicality of courses and enhance the artistic literacy and professional abilities of applied university students.
