Abstract: With the rapid development of higher vocational education in China, the integration of industry and education has become an important direction of higher vocational education reform. However, in practice, the depth and breadth of cooperation between higher vocational colleges and enterprises cannot meet the development requirements of the integration of industry and education. Therefore, this study takes the high-speed railway passenger service major of Wuhan College of Foreign Languages & Foreign Affairs as an example, and adopts the“dual tutor system”education model to achieve the in-depth reform of higher vocational education. Through the study of the path of co-construction of students'ability improvement by tutors inside and outside the school, this paper explores the effectiveness of enterprise tutors participating in vocational skills training, and on-campus tutors leading theoretical learning, and the two linkage guidance to complete innovative practice activities. The results show that the“dual tutor system”education model has great implementation value and effectiveness in improving students'employability and promoting the connection between higher vocational education and the job market. In addition, the successful practice of the“dual tutor system”education model provides an effective reference for how higher vocational colleges can better promote the integration of industry and education and improve students'employability.
