Analysis the Current Situation of Internationalization of China’s Postgraduate Education in Local Universities

Abstract: Internationalization of education is a mission entrusted to universities in the new century, and it is also a requirement for universities to serve China's strategic development. Internationalization of graduate education is one of the key indicators to measure the level of university development. It is important to analyze the opportunities for the internationalization of graduate education in local universities, explore the challenges in terms of cultural differences and language barriers, academic discipline and research level, teacher strength and teaching quality, as well as student quality and international competitiveness in order to comprehensively improve the university through diversified international exchange and cooperation. This paper put forward countermeasures and suggestions in terms of introducing excellent teaching resources and building an international talent cultivation system to facilitate the development of an internationalized graduate education in China's local universities.
