Abstract: In the context of“three complete education”in colleges and universities, it is very important to cultivate students'high-level thinking ability to improve graduate students'active learning ability. By introducing advanced (experimental) thinking abilities, graduate students are guided to reflect, analyze, evaluate, and innovate, thereby improving the machine performance of our gas chromatography analysis and testing unit. At the same time, inspired by the high-order thinking training method, the number and quality of student paper publications have significantly improved. In the fourth quarter of 2022, graduate students published 41 SCI papers based on gas chromatography equipment, an increase of 122% compared to the first quarter before 2021. The guiding mode effect of high-order (experimental) thinking is significant. This method can be further promoted in the analysis and testing centers of universities, improving the academic and experimental efficiency of graduate students, and is of great significance for the cultivation of graduate students in universities.
