Abstract: As a fundamental course for freshmen, the teaching content and the learning effectiveness of general geology affects subsequent courses, and the traditional teaching model can no longer meet the current teaching requirements. Applying mind maps to flipped classroom teaching can effectively improve classroom efficiency, reduce student learning time, and allow students to have more time and interest to participate in discussions on classroom teaching content, thereby improving the efficiency of flipped classrooms and achieving teaching characteristics centered on students and guided by teachers.
