Abstract: Integrative wastewater treatment experiments is a major course of environmental engineering technology, which is of great significance to cultivate students' comprehensive ability of engineering thinking, analyzing and solving problems. Taking the course of integrative wastewater treatment experiments in Changzhou Vocational Institute of Engineering as example, in order to meet the large demand for talents with skills of water industry, the course content is reconstructed based on the concept of outcome-based education (OBE) and task-drive of sustainable water treatment technology. The teaching practices of combining case teaching and emulational teaching, virtual with actual laboratory environment are adopted to guarantee refining learning。Meanwhile the course that constructs a system of“post, course, competition, certification”aims to enhance students'comprehensive proficiency in wastewater treatment via“1+X”certification testing of wastewater treatment. This course promotes a strong support for the cultivation of the training of composite“dual-carbon”talents in the water industry.

Key words: Outcome-based education, “1+X”certification, “Dual-carbon”talents, “Gold-class”construction, Path, Sustainable development
