Abstract: The new engineering and technical discipline aims to cultivate students'production capabilities and equip them with the ability to solve complex engineering problems. Insufficient competition teaching and research is one of the key issues leading to the difficulty of improvement of students'abilities. In the teaching of new engineering and technical discipline, how to effectively integrate competition and research into teaching is a new problem and challenge faced by colleges and universities. With the goal of cultivating students in electronic information majors, focusing on student ability cultivation, student output-oriented, relying on college student subject competitions and teachers'scientific research innovation, and using competition teaching and research as a means to analyze the competition content, teaching content and scientific research of multiple competitions, sort out the mutual relationships, integrate teacher teaching and scientific research into competition practice, and launch an output-oriented innovation mechanism for competition teaching and research. By strengthening basic learning, scientific research practice and engineering practice during the competition teaching and research process, students'innovation abilities have been improved, and certain results have been achieved in the competition school research in the past two years.
