Cultivating Students’Innovation and Entrepreneurship Abilities in the China International University Student Innovation Competition

Abstract: The China International College Students'Innovation Competition is a top-level science and technology competition that plays a leading role in the innovation and entrepreneurship activities of college students. This paper takes the gold medal winning work of Xuzhou Industrial Technology College in the National Competition of the Vocational Education Track as an example. It adopts the case study method and combines the real teacher guidance and student participation process to analyze the competition factors from the aspects of market research, core technology research and development, team configuration and management, and business operation mode. The purpose is to improve the high-level students’understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship, strengthen their innovative ability, and achieve the goal of“promoting learning through competition”. This paper aims to provide some reference for the talent cultivation of higher vocational colleges in the innovation competition activities, and to play positive role in promoting the cultivation of innovative and entrepreneurial spirit on the students’employment and job selection.
