Research and Practice on Cultivation of Innovative Practical Ability of College Students Based on Intelligent Vehicle Competition

Abstract

Abstract: Cultivating innovation and practice ability of college students is one of the important contents of the current teaching reform of higher education. National Intelligent Vehicle Competition for College Students integrates multi-disciplinary knowledge, advocates linking theory to practice, and plays an important role in promoting the cultivation of college students' innovation and practice ability. Relying on the National Intelligent Vehicle Competition for College Students, a system for cultivating college students'innovative practical ability has been constructed through strengthening theoretical teaching, relying on national teaching demonstration centers, unified management by the organizing committee, and perfecting the incentive mechanism. Since the implementation of the new initiatives, students’competition results have been continuously improved and their innovation and practice ability has been significantly enhanced.
