Abstract: Advanced programming is one of the mandatory courses for computer science students. Traditional teaching methods have many limitations, making it difficult to stimulate and motivate students' initiative and enthusiasm for learning. In this paper, based on the principle of putting students first and combining theory with practice, we propose an innovative talent cultivation model of competition-driven teaching and integration of competition and teaching. By making full use of online programming OJ platforms, Rain Classroom, and other tools, we aim to enhance classroom interactivity and engagement, and improve students' participation in the class. After nearly three years of continuous reform, certain achievements have been made, indicating that the innovative reform scheme of integrating competition and teaching is an effective reform program in the current context, taking into account the practical situation of the school and college.
