Construction and Implementation of a Practical Teaching System for Oil and Gas Majors from the Perspective of“Integration of Specialization and Innovation”

Abstract: With the development of the times, innovation driven has become a powerful engine for economic growth and transformation. This article analyzes the current situation and problems of the practical teaching system based on the educational positioning of Shandong University of Petrochemical Technology, taking the oil and gas major as an example. Based on the integration of specialization and innovation, and in accordance with the requirements of cultivating applied talents, a practical teaching system of“two penetrations, three levels, and four abilities”for the oil and gas major is constructed. The practical teaching is divided into three levels: basic practical education, comprehensive practical education, and competition driven practical education. The student-centered concept and curriculum ideological and political education run through the entire process of practical teaching, achieving the goal of cultivating students'engineering ability, practical ability, innovation ability, and comprehensive ability. This provides theoretical basis and practical model reference for the reform of the practical teaching system of oil and gas majors in the context of new engineering, and supports the achievement of the goal of cultivating applied talents.
