Research on the Relationship between Professional Identity and Learning Engagement of Hotel Management Undergraduates——The Intermediary Role of Psychological Capital

Abstract: Driven by the tourism industry, China's hotel industry is showing a rapid growth momentum and the market is in urgent need of hotel management professionals. However, most hotel management undergraduates have problems such as low self-efficacy and poor learning continuity in their daily studies. How to improve students' professional identity and learning input in higher education is particularly important. Therefore, in this paper, taking three undergraduate colleges offering hotel management as examples, the relationship between professional identity, psychological capital and learning engagement is discussed. The results show that the professional identity of hotel management undergraduates has a significant positive impact on learning investment, and psychological capital plays a partial intermediary role in professional identity and learning investment. Result display, the research has important enlightenment for improving the training effect of higher education to strengthen the professional identity of hotel management undergraduates and alleviate the brain drain of hotel industry.
