The Construction and Exploration of Teaching Methodology of Landscape Ecology Course for Graduate Students

Abstract: The postgraduate education cultivation system is increasingly showing the development trend of diversification, synthesis and specialization, and course teaching is an important part of gradute students education, which is conducive to consolidating and improving the professional theoretical knowledge of gradute students. Landscape Ecology is an interdisciplinary subject between geography and ecology, whereas the current stage of gradute students teaching is mostly in accordance with undergraduate teaching, neglecting the process of educating gradute students in research and exploration. Therefore, based on the characteristics of gradute students cultivation and teaching practice, this paper analyzes the shortcomings of existing teaching in the course of landscape ecology for graduate students, discussed the teaching reform in terms of teaching concept, teaching content, teaching methods and assessment methods, and explored the teaching mode of the course by introducing case-based teaching and project-based teaching, aiming to effectively improve the teaching quality of the course and fully mobilize the motivation and enthusiasm of graduate students.
