Abstract: Serving local is an important responsibility of local colleges. In recent years, with the comprehensive rollout of the new government's accounting system, L City has actively carried out the accounting reform, but there are still some problems. The implementation of the new system is in urgent need of talent support from local colleges, thus putting forward new requirements for the teaching of the course government accounting in W College. This paper discusses how to improve the teaching quality of government accounting by taking W College in L city as a sample. This paper holds that there are some unreasonable points in the present teaching in the aspects of curriculum setting, teacher selection and evaluation mechanism, therefore, some suggestions are put forward to perfect curriculum setting, set up teaching team and optimize evaluation mechanism.
